3. Information We Collect

3.1 Personal Information

  • Account Information: Name, email address, date of birth, country
  • LifeKey ID (LK-ID): A cryptographically generated unique identifier independent of government-issued IDs
  • Profile Information: Profile photos, biographical information you choose to share

3.2 Memory Capsule Content

  • Photographs, videos, voice recordings
  • Family messages and cultural stories
  • Lineage information and family tree connections

3.3 Technical Information

  • IP address (for security and language preference detection only)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Access logs for security purposes

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To provide memory preservation and legacy management services
  • Security: To protect your account and data from unauthorized access
  • Family Connections: To enable you to build and maintain your family tree
  • Legacy Mode: To ensure proper transition of your account upon death as per your instructions
  • Communication: To respond to your inquiries and provide support

We explicitly DO NOT use your information for:

  • Population tracking or surveillance

  • Commercial advertising or marketing to third parties
  • Government reporting (except as legally required by court order)

5. Data Security and Encryption

  • Zero-Knowledge Encryption: Your Memory Capsules are encrypted with industry-standard encryption
  • Federated Architecture: Regional nodes prevent centralized population databases
  • Immutability: Upon entering Legacy Mode, your capsules become read-only and cannot be altered
  • Access Control: Only you and your designated lineage guardians can access your legacy content

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing with family members
  • Legal Obligations: When required by valid court order or legal process
  • Security Threats: To prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats

We will NEVER:

  • Share your data with governments for population control purposes
  • Provide bulk data access to any entity
  • Use your data for political purposes

7. Legacy Mode and Death Registration

  • Upon death registration by your designated Legacy Guardian, your account enters Legacy Mode
  • Memory Capsules become permanently locked and read-only
  • Access is granted only to verified lineage members according to your settings
  • The Legacy Guardian can only register the date of death and has no access to your content
  • Your data is preserved for at least twenty generations

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct your information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account (before Legacy Mode)
  • Portability: Export your data in a standard format
  • Control: Manage who can access your Memory Capsules
  • Legacy Guardian: Change your designated Legacy Guardian at any time

9. Children's Privacy

LifeKey Global is designed for users of all ages as a family legacy platform. Accounts for minors should be created and managed by parents or legal guardians. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

10. International Data Transfers

LifeKey operates globally with federated regional nodes. Your data is stored in the region closest to you to ensure low latency and compliance with local data protection laws. We do not create centralized global databases.

11. Ethical Shutdown Clause

Critical Protection: If LifeKey Global is ever misused for surveillance, population control, or political exploitation, an automatic ethical shutdown mechanism will be triggered to protect user data. This is a non-negotiable commitment to our users.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes via email or prominent notice on our platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
